Ms. Hauptmann's practice concentrates on insurance defense. Ms. Hauptmann represents employers, insurers, and self-insureds before the Maryland Workers' Compensation Commission, Maryland circuit courts, and the District of Columbia Office of Workers' Compensation Programs, Administrative Hearing Division, Compensation Review Board, and D.C. appellate courts. Ms. Hauptmann also represents carriers and insureds in general liability and auto tort claims.

Ms. Hauptmann is a graduate of the University of Richmond and a 1997 graduate of the University of Baltimore School of Law. She is admitted to practice law in Maryland and the District of Columbia. 

Ms. Hauptmann represents DavCo Restaurants, Inc., Darden Restaurants, Inc., the Kennedy Krieger Institute, Arrowpoint Capital Corporation, Fireman's Fund Insurance, and Atlantic Mutual Insurance Company.
